Working in DC as a freelance photographer covering Cap Hill and the White House and all sorts of other things.  For the past year I've been traveling and shooting for Frommer's. Costa Rica, AK, SF, and of course had to cover DC where I live now. That was an easy shoot. Would like to keep the traveling going and shoot more corporate/editorial, and commercial work.  Love shooting fashion too.

Hope to see you guys in July!

Consultant/business owner synergylearningsystems.com Married 2
After the fog of high school I graduated from Humboldt State with a BA in english. Then moved to Tahoe, taught skiing and was a ski bum for a while. Fell in love and moved to Santa Cruz, where I've been since then.

My career is in team and leadership development for organizations, and have been doing this for more than 20 years, it takes me to some very cool places and I meet interesting people. I specialize in outdoor experiences and the use of metaphor as a learning tool. My mom still doesn't really understand what I do for work. I feel lucky to have found a career that I love, keeps me challenged and provides a good living.

I have an awesome 20 YO daughter from my first marriage. At 50 my second wife and I were totally surprised with another daughter, and needless to say she keeps us on our toes and is a total blessing. I feel totally lucky for all of the experiences, memories and opportunities I continue to have. I've been to lots of places in the world, but still have lots of places I want to see. I love to ski, board, climb, mountain bike, road bike, surf, play guitar, and generally push the limits just enough, while still allowing for time to chill and watch the sunset.

College Teacher www.marknelsontuba.com Married 2
Like many of us, I started out with two years of college at Southwestern right out of high school. I transferred to and graduated from Point Loma College (now Point Loma Nazarene University) in San Diego with a BA in music education and performance. I went right on to graduate school at Arizona State and got my masters and doctorate in music performance while teaching music in the Scottsdale AZ school system and eventually a second masters in education administration from the University of Vermont. Monica Carroll and I married in 1984 and celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2014. We have two sons, Jude (currently working as a research fellow at Princeton University while finishing his Ph.D. in computer science), and Luke who is a middle school science teacher for 7th and 8th grade in Marana AZ.   My career took us to Vermont for 9 years where I taught at the University of Vermont and played in the Vermont Symphony. We moved to Decatur, Illinois where I was tenured as a full professor at Millikin University as head of music education and finally moved back to Scottsdale for another stint of public school teaching until I accepted the Chair of Performing Arts position in 2000 at Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ. My wife has been a school administrator for over 30 years and is currently the associate superintendent of the Amphitheater school district in Tucson. We have enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends all over the country. My career as a performer and educator has taken me to several countries and many states playing recitals and lecturing at a variety of conferences and venues. I recently played a concerto in Linz, Austria and am currently on the board of directors for the International Tuba Euphonium Association and on the executive board of the Arizona Music Educators Association.  Its always nice to return home to family and friends though. Teacher Divorced 3
After high school, I went to San Diego State University and USIU. I got a degree in journalism TV/Radio, as well as a teaching credential. My three children are Ashley, 18, Danielle, 16, and Trevor, 13. I travel to San Diego to visit family and travel the Pacific Northwest. I went on a Mexican Riviera cruise with my dad last year. I am planning a trip to British Columbia, Canada. I enjoy working out 5-6 times a week: swimming, biking, walking, weights and starting Hatha Yoga. I enjoy reading and mostly spending time with children and dogs. I've been single for 10 years now. I look forward to being able to do more traveling. I hope to take an extended motor home trip cross-country. I enjoyed many favorite things about high school, like going to the football games and other sporting events. I go to just about all of the high school games when my daughter performs. "Dani" used to be a cheerleader, but went back to performing in the marching band. There are many people I would like to see. I wish I could talk to Yvette Villarino...just one more time. I would like to know what happened to Tom Mercer. I would like to see Patti Long, Laurie White, and of course the man I've had the longest crush on: John Barrows. Send Marlene a MessageSend Marlene a Message
