Tracey M. Dickerson

Apple Valley - A funeral service for Tracey M. Dickerson, 53 of Apple Valley, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastors Tom and Carol Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Hanover Cemetery.

Tracey died December 7, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 20, 1957, in Chula Vista, CA to the late Donald A. and Kathleen M. (Smith) MacNintch.

Tracey was the former Autism Parent Coordinator for Knox County. She created and developed the Special Education Parent Support Group for East Knox School District.

Tracey was executive secretary for Williams and Associates, San Diego, CA; owner/operator Phone Bank, San Diego, CA and Academic Human Resource Technician for Southwestern College, Chula Vista, CA.

Tracey was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved her children and they were the pride of her life. She cared about people, believed that all people are equal and was an advocate for improving education for all children. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Donald "Wayne" Dickerson of Apple Valley whom she married on October 17, 1981; daughter, Kelly Jane Dickerson and son Evan Dickerson, both of the home, brother, Bruce MacNintch of Chula Vista, CA; sister, Heather MacNintch of Chula Vista, CA; mother-in-law, Nancy Mathis of Newark; brother-in-law, Steven Dickerson of Mexico; sister-in-law, Pam Lasure of Newark.
