Comment: I was a cellist in the San Diego Youth Symphony Orchestra from 1969 - 1975. I went on the orchestra's first tour to perform in the 1st International Festival of Youth Orchestras in St. Moritz, Switzerland and other tours to South America.  I attended the Hartt College of Music and Manhattan School of Music. I performed in many professional orchestras and am now the orchestra director for the Greece Athena Middle and High School's orchestra program in Rochester, NY.   We have 125 string students and five orchestras. My husband is the professor of guitar at the Eastman School of Music. Our daughter Sophie is now a freshman horn major at Eastman and the recipient of the Howard Hanson scholarship. Our son, Harry (trumpet) attends the McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester.

Jim did his medical internship at the Naval Hospital in San Diego in 1986, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1987.  He was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Urgent Care Association of America in 2005.

He is currently running for a spot on the Chula Vista City Council - election to be held June 6, 2006.

We have 3 children, John and Jackie live in Santa Cruz near us, and our youngest  son Dave lives in Santa Monica.  We enjoy living near the ocean in Santa Cruz, and skiing in the Tahoe area in the winter.

Comment: I was in the dental field since we left HHS but am now doing Civil Service work at the 32nd Street Naval Base here in San Diego.  I have a son who graduated June 2010 from Hilltop and started college at a local university in July 2010.  He was fortunate enough to go  to Germany as a foriegn exchange student representing Hilltop in Feb. 2010.  We love trains and are members of the Chula Vista Live Steamers which run trains at Rohr Park. Every year we make our annual trek to Mt Laguna during the holidays for the snow and mountain air. We love to camp and vacation as often as is allowed. I haven't strayed far from Chula and moved back home to take care of my parents. After all, they raised me all those years, time to re-pay the favor :)

Update:  I lost my mom in March of 2009 to metatastic lung cancer.  We need to find a cure for this disease.
